We can help you get started on a design or troubleshoot any issues you’re having in the garden. The sky’s the limit for topics we can discuss, but here are a few examples:

A garden consultation can come in handy at any point during your gardening project.
If you’ve never designed or cared for a garden before, starting with a consultation can help you focus your vision and get started on the right foot. Maybe you’ve gotten stuck somewhere in the middle and need help working out a thorny problem—we’re here for that too.
Studio Humelim offers virtual and in-person consultations. Most new clients start with a virtual consultation, as these are efficient, flexible, and usually give us more than enough time together—without the higher cost and time commitment of an in-person visit.
Virtual Consultation
A virtual consultation consists of a 45 minute call (video or phone, your choice). These calls are directed by the interests and needs of the client—the more questions you bring, the better, and it’s always helpful to send photos of the site in advance.
After the call, Laura will follow up with any relevant notes or resources that were discussed. This varies by project but may include plant lists, reading recommendations, or other tools. A transcript of video calls can be provided as well.

In Person Consultation
In-person consultations are also available when a site visit is necessary. If you’re unsure which option is right for you, starting virtually is the best way to determine whether an on-site visit is warranted. For large or complicated projects, please email hello@studiohumelim.com to discuss which option might be better for you. In-person consultations are billed at $125/hour.
Ongoing Support
Sometimes consultations are one-offs, and sometimes clients schedule regular consultations across the growing season. Follow up consultations for the same project are billed at $125/hour with a minimum time of one half hour.
